A great day even with Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is often accompanied with sleeping issues, migraines or headaches, a severe lack of energy and stomach issues. However, by far the worst symptom of fibromyalgia is the muscle pain and soreness. This is not the sort of tiredness and pain that you feel after working out and straining the muscles of your body. Instead it is the deeper and more aching pain that can often be associated with flu symptoms. It is for this reason that many people with fibromyalgia find themselves more restricted in their activities, get out less and are less involved in the daily social activities that they were used to. The irony is that in many cases this outlook is actually exacerbating the condition and pain even more. Now bare with me, the next paragraph may sound counter intuitive but many people have tried this and found it helps them, eases their pain and helps them become more active. Here goes, one of the best tips you will read, and probably never hear from your doctor. – You must exercise regularly every day or two days. There I said it. Regular exercise will help reduce the pain that you experience as a result of the fibromyalgia. Hey Daniel you must have taken a knock to the head last night. Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes muscle pain – so the less I use them the less pain i will have. Well that just isn’t the case. Many people with fibromyalgia who exercise regularly say it is one of the most effective ways to help reduce the pain and when they stop the exercise for a week the pain returns. Now let me clarify one aspect. What do I mean by exercise? Well each person will need a different level of activity depending on how much pain they have and how their body reacts. However, you may only need to do 15 or 20 minutes of regular exercise such as leg and arm raises, some regular walking and some muscle stretching. I do not mean that you have to spend two hours working out in the gym, sweating and building up huge bulging muscles. Just a simple, ease exercise routine that you can do in your living room or walking around your neighbourhood will make amazing changes to your live. Try it and see!! You will be amazed. And once you have seen these changes...

Giving Fibromyalgia some medicine of its own!

You might think that Fibromyalgia is a seemingly harmless condition. It does not leave you with missing limb or a dysfunctional area of your body. You can walk around like anyone else and do the things that your family and friends enjoy doing! At least from the outside. Inside your body is a different story. Movements have become painful, sleeping is unsatisfying and does not give you that satisfying feeling of rejuvenation in the morning when you wake up, and as with other diseases that are only understood by their symptoms you often tire before you feel your work is done and are left to finish everyday tasks in a constant state of exhaustion or collapse and give up. Raising a family becomes a great challenge instead of the joy and wonderful moments that most people enjoy with their kids. Your time is torn between looking after your own basic needs and the daily chores of the house. However, a solution is at hand. Craniosacral Therapy by experienced therapists has been shown to naturally help the symptoms of Fibromyalgia and ease many of the issues that are generally associated with it. Rachel, 52, had been suffering for years from fibromyalgia. She had reduced the amount of times she would travel into the city, was unable to take the time out to go shopping , even for weekly food and goods. She had to sleep extra hours in the middle of the day affecting how and when she could work. The she eventually called me and came for a consultation. I advised her that the best results are seen from an intensive monthly program of treatment. As we see the results and improvements this normally drops off to bi-weekly and finally even monthly maintenance treatments to keep the symptoms and pain in check so that she could continue with her normal life again. We started on an intensive weekly treatment program and within a couple of weeks she was already starting to feel better. Her sleeping had improved, she had more energy and could do household activities as well as have time afterwards to enjoy being with her family.      Rachel has continued regular treatment and continues to see the benefits to her health that she could not have found from medical treatment. A letter from a sufferer of Fibromyalgia on the benefits of Craniosacral Therapy

I would like to share with you a letter that I recently recieved from a lady with Fibromyalgia whom I have been treating for a while now for. As you will see Becky been kind enought to share her experiences and the benefits that she has seen from her regular treatment over this last year. I am very grateful to her for taking the time out to write this letter.    "A little over a year ago I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, a rheumatologic disease which causes severe muscle  and joint pain, debilitating fatigue and ‘brain fog’, the inability to think clearly. Although I had lived with many of the symptoms for years, they suddenly became worse.  I was forced to resign from most of my work schedule and spent hours every day in bed.  Simply hanging a load of laundry was enough to reduce me to tears. Since conventional medicine has failed to come up with a cure for or medicine to relieve the Fibromyalgia symptoms, I turned to alternative solutions.  I tried shiatsu, homeopathy, the candida diet, chiropractic and acupuncture.  While some of these were helpful (mostly the homeopathic remedies) some of them – the shiatsu and chiropractic – made the symptoms worse. Then I found Craniosacral therapy.  During my first treatment I experienced a relaxation so deep it caused me to comment, “I never realized how tense I was.”  I sat up and turned my head from side to side without any pain for the first time since I’d been in a car accident three years early.  To my amazement the brain fog lifted and I was able to think clearly.  That night I slept soundly for the first time in years.  When I awoke the next morning I felt refreshed and full of energy.  I was able to exercise and do simple household chores without pain.  Since that time I have continued to see Daniel for regular treatments twice a month.  I have returned to my full work schedule.  The Fibromyalgia symptoms return occasionally and I have good days and bad days, but overall my level of functioning is better than it’s been for a long, long time. Daniel Tarlow is a sensitive, caring, extremely professional therapist.  His many years of experience have endowed him with much knowledge and wisdom.  He has a great sense of humor and cares deeply about his clients.  I highly...
