A great day even with Fibromyalgia

Craniosacral therapy for fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is often accompanied with sleeping issues, migraines or headaches, a severe lack of energy and stomach issues. However, by far the worst symptom of fibromyalgia is the muscle pain and soreness. This is not the sort of tiredness and pain that you feel after working out and straining the muscles of your body. Instead it is the deeper and more aching pain that can often be associated with flu symptoms.

It is for this reason that many people with fibromyalgia find themselves more restricted in their activities, get out less and are less involved in the daily social activities that they were used to.

The irony is that in many cases this outlook is actually exacerbating the condition and pain even more.

Now bare with me, the next paragraph may sound counter intuitive but many people have tried this and found it helps them, eases their pain and helps them become more active.

Here goes, one of the best tips you will read, and probably never hear from your doctor. – You must exercise regularly every day or two days. There I said it. Regular exercise will help reduce the pain that you experience as a result of the fibromyalgia.

Hey Daniel you must have taken a knock to the head last night. Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes muscle pain – so the less I use them the less pain i will have.

Well that just isn’t the case. Many people with fibromyalgia who exercise regularly say it is one of the most effective ways to help reduce the pain and when they stop the exercise for a week the pain returns.

Now let me clarify one aspect. What do I mean by exercise? Well each person will need a different level of activity depending on how much pain they have and how their body reacts. However, you may only need to do 15 or 20 minutes of regular exercise such as leg and arm raises, some regular walking and some muscle stretching.

I do not mean that you have to spend two hours working out in the gym, sweating and building up huge bulging muscles. Just a simple, ease exercise routine that you can do in your living room or walking around your neighbourhood will make amazing changes to your live. Try it and see!! You will be amazed.

And once you have seen these changes please email me and let me know how you are doing.

Next time I will give you some more specific guidelines and pictures for exercises and also explain why the exercises help.
